How much do you think people should value history
in determining their views on issues that deal
with society? How much does history matter to
you? This is totally random, but I figured why
not ask you seeing as you like to analyze things.
I am trying to bridge a gap between complete
ignorance and some sort of knowledge of things and
the world around me.

mina can't think these days? answers please!

to be fair i think it depends entirely on the issue at hand and the situation that you're faced with. I think there are some instances where history needs to be taken into account for you to make a stand on a particular issue [ie tribalism back home. Does it affect your social interaction with that other tribe etc] and then of course there are those scenarios where history really does matter [i think...can't think of one at the moment]

history cannot be ignored. but it should not dictate your views on society because things change all the time. ignorance is not an option so at the very least knowing why things are the way they are is a good thing. don't know if im making sense. kinda does in my head....

ps have you had a sex change? cause last i checked, you weren't MaDube....

uMaDube is another internet buddy who constantly bombards me with these questions!!

you bring up tribalism. that's a really hot issue in my bones. at school, everything was cool - maybe we were just sheltered from the outside world. now that i'm all grown, i've had more bad experiences than good. however i prefer not to shut out anyone, i just shut out their sillyness.

Ever wondered what would have happened if uMzilikazi hadn't crossed the Limpopo and decided to "vala ngebetshu!" I'd probably be fighting for King Goodwill KwaZulu.

Then again, I'm proud of my family history and the legacy my grandmother created. In fact I should add an entry in her honour.
